2/10/2024 Upcoming Regional Forum in Cambridge

Global Cities New Zealand are pleased to officially announce our upcoming regional forum in Cambridge on Friday, November 8th, at the Don Rowlands Centre (Lake Karapiro). Regional forums provide an opportunity to come together and discuss our global partnerships, share knowledge, and plan for the future. These forums also help to signal the credibility of our collective work in local-level foreign affairs. We highly recommend those who are available attend, especially those residing in Central and Upper North Island.

Please see the following link to register: https://form.jotform.com/242536471327861

The registration fee is $50 + GST, which primarily covers the cost of catering.
The full programme will be released shortly.
We look forward to seeing you there!

18/06/2024 Lower Hutt Tempe Exchange Restarted

Our Emeritus President Hiromi recently attended Lower Hutt’s welcome reception to celebrate the exchange delegates from Tempe, Arizona.  The exchange programme has been a mainstay of the relationship between Lower Hutt and Tempe which was established in 1981 and we are delighted to see it back up running after a short pause during Covid.

Speaking on the reception Hiromi wrote:

It was a very happy occasion as a restart of their successful educational exchanges.
3 students and 3 teachers from Tempe spent 3 weeks in Lower Hutt and 3 students and 2 teachers from Lower Hutt are leaving for Tempe soon.  Lower Hutt students will meet with students from all of Tempe’s sister cities around the world during their 3 week stay there.
